Assignment
Scott Gregory, President of Lamphier-Gregory, provided project management assistance to the City of Oakland for the preparation of a Redevelopment Plan, a Base Reuse Plan and EIR for the transfer and reuse of the former Oakland Army Base to the City of Oakland and the Port of Oakland. Scott coordinated the work of the EIR consultant through a committee of representatives from the City and the Port of Oakland; prepared staff reports and informational items for City decision-makers; represented the City in discussions with the Port pertaining to mitigation requirements, land use and ownerships; and maintained the overall project schedule.
Results
The Oakland Base Reuse and Redevelopment Plan were approved by unanimous votes of the City of Oakland, the Oakland Base Reuse Authority and the Port of Oakland. Lamphier-Gregory continued for several years following approval and adoption of the Plan in the capacity as contract planner to assist in the implementation of the Reuse Plan and to conduct further detailed environmental review.
